Clear expectations from the first conversation.

Working with eHomeCare

eHomeCare provides independent digital advisory for Australian aged care and disability providers. We work with boards, executives and operational leaders to clarify priorities, assess options and turn decisions into practical action.

Engagements are shaped around the issue you need to address, the capabilities already within your organisation and the support required to achieve an agreed outcome.

Start with a focused conversation

An initial discussion helps us understand your organisation, your priorities and the decision or challenge you are facing.

You might be considering a technology investment, developing a digital strategy, strengthening governance or seeking support for a transformation already underway. We discuss what you need, what work has already been completed and where advice would be most useful.

From there, we identify a suitable starting point and whether eHomeCare is the right fit.

Choose the support you need

A focused assessment

A defined review of a particular issue, capability or investment decision.

Depending on the question, this could examine your current digital environment, governance arrangements, technology options or readiness for change. The scope identifies the evidence to be reviewed, the people involved and the findings and recommendations you will receive.

A scoped advisory project

A project with agreed deliverables and a defined completion point.

Examples include developing a digital strategy and roadmap, establishing governance arrangements, evaluating technology and suppliers, or preparing an implementation and adoption approach.

Ongoing advisory support

Continued support for leaders who need independent advice as priorities and decisions evolve.

The arrangement defines the areas of responsibility, expected involvement, access to support and review points. This can provide continuity across investment decisions, governance, delivery and benefits reviews.

Know who will do the work

Engagements are led by Hubert van Dalen, bringing technology leadership and practical aged care operational experience.

Your proposal identifies who will undertake the work and how responsibilities will be shared with your team. Where additional specialist expertise is appropriate, its role and involvement are discussed and agreed with you.

Relevant experience can be discussed during the scoping process. Any examples distinguish work delivered through eHomeCare from experience gained in other professional roles. Client references are shared where permission allows.

Agree the scope and fees before work begins

A written proposal sets out what the engagement covers and the commercial commitment involved.

It identifies:

  • The question or need being addressed.

  • Deliverables and intended outcomes.

  • Activities, boundaries and exclusions.

  • Delivery responsibilities and your team’s involvement.

  • Indicative timing, dependencies and review points.

  • Fees, payment terms and any agreed expenses.

Where the work can be clearly bounded, a fixed-fee proposal can provide certainty about the agreed scope. Where requirements are evolving or support is ongoing, the proposal explains the charging basis and how expenditure will be controlled.

Any proposed change to scope, timing or fees is discussed and agreed before additional work proceeds.

Build on the capability you already have

We work alongside your leadership, care, operational and technology teams. The engagement should make effective use of existing knowledge, previous assessments and work already underway.

Recommendations and deliverables are designed to be understood, owned and used by your organisation. Each engagement concludes with clear findings, decisions or next steps appropriate to its purpose.

Discuss your priorities

Tell us about your organisation, the issue you are working through and the outcome you want to achieve.
